Watersports Experience Days: Paddle your way along The River Soar on a kayak or paddleboard during this guided watersports adventure, and stop for a refreshing drink and a bite to eat at a local pub of your choosing.
You’ll begin your experience by collecting your equipment at Proctor’s Park, where you’ll be introduced to your instructor. They’ll guide you along the river for the next few hours, teaching you the basics of your chosen watersport while you take in the gorgeous surroundings. Whether you opt to glide along serenely in a kayak, or enjoy the view while standing on a paddleboard, you’re guaranteed to have a peaceful time on the water. Part-way through your journey, you’ll disembark at your chosen pub. There, you can enjoy a drink or some food while you look out at the boats trundling along the river. When you’re fed and watered, you’ll get back on the river and head back the way you came.
The Watersports and Pub Trip on The River Soar is the perfect way to experience the sights of Barrow-On-Soar, Quorn, and Mountsorrel while you get some great exercise! This day out would make a fun experience gift for anyone who loves the water.
Availability
This watersports adventure can be booked up to 4 days a week, from April to October. All dates are subject to availability at the time of booking.
Requirements
Unfortunately, this is not wheelchair accessible.
This River Soar activity is suitable for those over the age of 18.
You do not need any previous kayaking experience, but a moderate level of fitness is required.
You will occasionally be required to go under low bridges, which may require you to lie down depending on the water levels. You may also need to carry your kayak short distances.
Alcohol consumption is discouraged.

Time Spent at Venue: 4:15
This kayak or paddleboard experience is typically 4 hours. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
